Our Vision

Recovery that reaches beyond a residential stay.

Our vision is that people experiencing alcohol, drug or behavioural addiction problems have access to respectful, appropriate care and a realistic opportunity to rebuild health, trust, work and family life. Progress is not measured only by the number of days spent inside a centre. It includes safety, meaningful routines, relationships and the ability to ask for help when life becomes difficult again.

Our Mission

Responsible decisions, compassionate care.

Our mission is to make addiction-related assessment and rehabilitation more understandable for individuals and families: identify urgent medical risk, explain suitable care options, protect dignity and confidentiality, support evidence-informed therapeutic work, and plan continuity before discharge. Recommendations should reflect the person rather than force the person into an advertised package.

How we measure progress

Recovery looks different for different people.

One person needs immediate help with alcohol withdrawal and rebuilding a stable sleep schedule. Another needs support to stop repeatedly borrowing for gambling. For a teenager whose gaming has displaced school and friendships, the problem may require family routines, psychological assessment and a plan that does not turn every device into a punishment. Our mission means asking which needs apply rather than offering the same explanation to everyone.

ICare Foundation aims to make those decisions clearer. A family should know why a particular pathway is being discussed, the limits of what a residential centre can provide, when medical or psychiatric referral is necessary and how confidentiality will work. No treatment centre can responsibly guarantee a cure or the absence of relapse. Good care sets meaningful goals and prepares people to respond to setbacks early.

Putting values into practice

What you should experience when speaking with ICare

Clear answers

We want a family to understand who will assess a patient, what the likely next steps are, what risks need attention and which questions still require a qualified doctor’s decision.

Respectful involvement

Patients and relatives need to know what information can be shared, how consent works and how decisions are explained. Privacy is not a decorative promise.

Attention to the individual

A person with alcohol withdrawal risk, gambling debts or disrupted sleep from gaming needs a different plan. The behaviour, physical and mental health, personal goals and support at home all matter.

Responsibility after discharge

Before someone returns home, practical follow-up, relapse-warning signs, family boundaries and recovery support should be discussed, not left for a crisis.
