Our centre

ICare Foundation is here for people who need a considered start to addiction recovery.

ICare Foundation is a rehabilitation centre serving people and families from Mumbai, Thane and the wider metropolitan region. Our published address is Bungalow No. 13, Soham Gardens, Ghodbunder Road, Thane West, Maharashtra 400607. People contact us about alcohol, drugs, gambling, gaming and behavioural patterns that have begun to affect work, relationships, health or the family home.

For many households, reaching a rehabilitation centre is not a routine healthcare enquiry. A parent may be frightened of a withdrawal episode. A spouse may have found hidden debts. Someone seeking treatment for themselves may worry that a colleague or neighbour will find out. The first job is to listen properly, understand what is happening and explain the practical next step.

We encourage families to ask direct questions about medical assessment, residential suitability, staff and qualifications, consent, daily schedules, facilities, fees and what happens after discharge. Those details matter more than promotional promises.

Residential setting and everyday life

What a day in rehabilitation should make room for

Safe, structured mornings

Regular waking, meals and scheduled sessions can help people recover a sense of routine after months or years of disrupted sleep and irregular eating. Treatment needs to respond to health and emotional needs, rather than treat strictness as a result in itself.

Privacy, rest and appropriate activity

Families can ask to see the rooms, common spaces and outdoor facilities, and to understand the plan for recreation and exercise. ICare enquiries can cover the gardens, meals, visits and recreational arrangements associated with a proposed stay. Confirm the accommodation and specific facilities available before admission.

Support with difficult conversations

One person may be ready to talk about drinking; another may feel defensive about debts, drug use or loss of control. Helpful counselling takes account of this difference, while ensuring that family concerns about safety and responsibilities are heard.

A realistic exit plan

Discharge is not a finish line. Before someone leaves residential care, families should understand whom to call, what warning signs matter, whether clinical follow-up is needed and how communication, work and ordinary routines will be managed.

How ICare Foundation works with families

The things we discuss before someone comes to stay

Assessment before admission

Tell us about the substance or behaviour, recent use, withdrawal experiences, injuries, medication, mood, sleep and safety at home. A qualified professional should decide whether residential care, medical stabilisation or another setting is appropriate.

Privacy and consent

Concerns about anonymity are common. We discuss who may receive updates, how family participation works, and the limits of confidentiality. Being a relative does not automatically authorise access to a person's private medical information.

Residential life and routine

Families can ask about rooms, meals, exercise, outdoor spaces, recreation, counselling sessions, communication and visits. A stable daily routine can support treatment, but is not a substitute for clinical care.

Life after the programme

Recovery continues outside a residential setting. Planning should address triggers, relationships, employment, follow-up support and what the person will do if cravings or setbacks return.

Our purpose

What we mean by responsible addiction treatment

We do not believe the same residential programme or treatment duration is right for every person. Alcohol withdrawal, opioid dependence, gambling disorder and problematic digital behaviour each raise different questions. A credible plan should explain which concerns are being addressed, what professional oversight is necessary and how progress will be assessed.

ICare’s role is to help a person and their family explore a structured recovery pathway, including referral or further medical assessment when appropriate. We encourage clear expectations and respectful communication throughout the process.

Our Vision & Mission ↗

Who we serve

Local care and international enquiries

ICare receives enquiries from families across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Mira-Bhayandar, Kalyan-Dombivli and elsewhere. People travelling from outside India have additional questions about travel documentation, medical suitability, family communication, duration of stay and follow-up after returning home.

International enquiries are handled individually. No website should promise visa approval or assume that a person with complex withdrawal or psychiatric symptoms is fit to travel without medical assessment.
